Asher Durham is a dedicated young motorcycle racer based in Lincolnshire with his sights firmly set on becoming a British Champion – the time is now.

Sportbike 2025 & 2026

2025 brought an all new concept to the world of racing with the birth of National Sportbike, Asher and the Suzuki Powerslide Motorcycles team were hot contenders throughout with seven podiums including two wins. The Championship went down to the final round, Asher rounded out the year in 4th by just a single point.

This season, 2026, Sportbike became an official British title – it is a bucket-list win and Asher is giving it his all.

Asher Durham’s two wheeled journey

From a small child Asher was enthusiastic to jump in to motorcycle competition, be it on the dirt or tarmac. In tune with many of today’s top riders, Asher cut his racing teeth as a ‘Dad and Lad’ team on a mini moto.

By 2012 Asher was ready to take on the British 125GP Championship. Asher was the youngest and smallest ever 125GP British Championship contender and was instantly noticed in this televised two-stroke Grand Prix spec class.

2013 : Red Bull Rookies selection finalist

In 2013 Asher was selected for the coveted Red Bull Rookies, a premier feeder category for MotoGP. The academy invited just 106 of the most promising riders from around the World to try out and Asher progressed through to the final selection round.

2014–2019 British Championship

In 2014 Asher secured his first Motul British Motostar Championship podium with a 2nd place at Donington Park for Steve Patrickson’s race team. By 2016 the two-strokes were now four-stroke Moto 3 machines, Asher finished 3rd in the standard class – laying down his first British Championship win and a total of nine podiums.
2017 riding in the premier Moto3 class, Asher scored another two podiums giving Indian manufacturer, Mahindra, their first top three results in the UK.
2018 and 2019 delivered 13 podiums, finishing 4th and 3rd respectively in the premier Moto 3 British Championship class. Asher sealed his lightweight period with an impressive double victory at Thruxton, taking the ultra-competitive Championship down to the wire.

Going bigger – lightweight GP to production 600

In 2020 Asher progressed into the 600 National Superstock category riding for the Microlise Cresswell Racing team onboard a Kawasaki ZX-636R. Covid curtailed this learning year but not before Asher achieved a best result of 12th.
From 2021 through to 2023 Asher contended the 600 Superstock class which rebranded to the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship. Within the class Asher achieved 10 podium finishes

British Supersport Championship

In 2024 Asher moved up to the British Supersport Championship at British Superbikes. This debut season was rewarded with another podium to add to the trophy collection.

2012 Youngest and smallest British Championship GP125 rider to date.

2016 First British Championship victory.

2017 First podium success in the UK for the Mahindra manufacturer.

2019 Thruxton: first double win at British Championship level.

2021 Silverstone, fastest Superstock 600 lap to date (achieved during qualifying).

2023 Title contender, Junior Supersport 3rd overall.

2024 Podium result in first year of British Supersport

2025 Giving Powerslide Suzuki their first BSB event win in Pirelli National Sportbike. Consistant TV coverage achieved.

2026 Multiple race victories – it is all to play for!

Asher Durham is a British motorcycle racer competing in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship, the premier support class to the British Superbike Championship (BSB). He races for Powerslide Racing on a Suzuki GSX-8R.

The Pirelli British Sportbike Championship is a support class run alongside every British Superbike (BSB) race weekend, for production-based middleweight sportbikes, the concept runs a balancing system to ensure that no single manufacturer holds an unfair mechanical advantage.

British Sportbike requires a control Mektronic ECU and system of performance enhancements or restrictions may be applied. The primary method of balancing will be torque limited maps. Calculations made may include, but are not limited to: Lap time relative to all other competitors, speed traps, number of riders per brand, known rider performance (previous rounds, results, laps led, overall race time), concession part updates.

British Sportbike eligible models include: Aprilia RS660, CF Moto 675SR-R, Kawaskai Ninja 650, Yamaha YZF-R7 and the Suzuki GSX-8R as ridden by Asher Durham for Powerslide Motorcycles.

My current goal for 2026 is to become British Champion, it is something I put so much dedication in to and I truly feel my time is now. For the future I aim to develop into British Supersport or World Sportbike next year where I’m currently trying to figure out my best opportunities! Within the next five years my goal is to become a top British Superbike rider fighting for victories in the premier class.
